Vi informiamo che il prossimo 21 giugno presso l'Università degli Studi di Milano, si terrà il workshop "Adozione o adattamento di Linee Guida Internazionali al contesto locale: il metodo GRADE-ADOLOPMENT" promosso dal Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche per la Salute in collaborazione con il Centro GRADE Italiano. 

Questo workshop ha l’obiettivo di fornire le competenze teoriche e pratiche per valutare quando e come adottare o adattare linee guida internazionali al contesto locale con il metodo GRADE-ADOLOPMENT ed è rivolto in particolare alle Società Scientifiche che intendano produrre linee guida che rispondano ai requisiti di qualità indicati da Ministero della Salute e Istituto Superiore di Sanità.

A new European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant starts for 5 years (~ 2 million euros). The grant “LIGHTUP – Turning the cortically blind brain to see” is awarded to prof. Marco Tamietto (www.marcotamietto.com).

The project investigates the neural correlates of visual awareness and of non-conscious vision in patients with blindsight and in non-human primates (macaques) with V1 damage. To this aim, a broad range of methods will be used, including 3T and 7T (f)MRI, neurophysiological recordings and brain stimulation (TMS) (please see Abstract below).

The project is embedded in an outstanding international and interdisciplinary context, including the University of Turin (IT), NIH (USA), the University of Oxford (UK), Tilburg University (NL) and, with granted access to their facilities.

We offer a full-time researcher post for 2 years extendible for other 2 years (pending positive assessment). Applications of highly motivated candidates with interests in systems neuroscience, vision sciences and neuroimaging are welcomed. The successful applicant will be appointed by the University of Tilburg (NL), but he/she will be expected to spend most of the time at the NIH in Bethesda (USA). In fact, the junior researcher will be co-supervised by prof. M. Tamietto and prof. D. Leopold, and the position is specifically focused on behavioural and fMRI studies in non-human primates.

The Summer School is designed for Ph.D. students, post-doctoral research fellows and early career scholars from a variety of disciplines and approaches within the human, social and cognitive sciences.

Joining the Summer School, participants there is the possibility to present an original contribution within a poster session format (preferably somehow Bayesian-related), which will be evaluated for the best poster prize! This is not mandatory but can be a great opportunity for all the students.

In order to ease the teacher-students contact, only a maximum of 25 participants will be admitted.

The Summer School will be held from Monday June 3rd to Saturday 7th, 2019, University of Verona, Italy
